Lindemans Kriek (that's Flemish for 'cherry'!) lambic beer is a fruity, decadent indulgence. This traditional Belgian cherry ale is crafted at our historic Belgian brewery from spontaneously or ‘wild’ fermented lambic beer that has first been aged in oak barrels for one year, then blended with delicious cherries. We use the oldest method of brewing in the world and are one of only a handful of breweries that remain dedicated to this exceptional style today!

Lindemans Kriek was created thanks to a happy accident back in the 1970s, when 5th generation brewer René Lindemans sent the first shipment across the ocean to the United States. When the beer arrived at port, everyone was baffled to discover that not a single drop was left! The motion of the waves had reactivated fermentation during the journey, causing the corks to pop out and explode during shipment. René realized that to effectively bring this delicious beer to our friends in the US, pasteurization was necessary. Thanks to his innovation, this award-winning beer can now be found in all 50 states!
