10% of this medicine boxes proceeds will go to Kiyani’s Give Back Initiatives. Through this fund, we have a track record of providing firewood, food, and water to the elders of Wide Ruins. Our next project is skills training for middle and high school students in the community.

Made with wild-harvested herbs from the Navajo Nation, the Kiyani Calming Salve harnesses the ancient practice of plant-based healing. In Diné culture, sagebrush, juniper, and broomweed are renowned for their healing benefits. Our salve is designed to moisturize dry skin, alleviate rashes, soothe insect bites, and calm irritated skin. Juniper, sagebrush, and broomweed harmoniously converge to form a potent combination of components that are anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal. Mango seed butter and beeswax work as natural emollients preventing moisture loss. The Kiyani healing salve is formulated to soften and moisturize the skin. The combination of mango seed butter and beeswax promotes elasticity and suppleness, leaving your skin feeling nourished and healthy.

Junipergad – Juniper can be found across the Navajo Nation and dots valleys and our rocky landscape with its resilient presence. From the kitchen to healing, juniper serves many purposes. When turned into ash, it enhances blue corn mush and adds additional nutrients to this breakfast staple. The seeds can be crafted into beads and serve as protection beads. Juniper can also be made into a hot compress or brewed as a tea to soothe an upset stomach.

BroomweedCh’il yeesi – One of the first signs of early spring is the green foliage of broomweed. It is used in ceremonies, along with other herbs and prayer, to heal internal infections. Fresh broomweed can also be used to relieve the itch of bug bites during the summer season. A useful remedy to know when you're herding sheep in a remote areas and have to depend on the land.

Sagebrushts’ah - The smell that reminds me of home and brings fond memories of my great grandpa. Used in ceremony and as a tea that cleanses. As a cleansing tea, sagebrush is used very sparingly as a little bit goes a long ways.
