Inder Bedi has been a trailblazer in the sustainable fashion industry for over 20 years. His career began when his vegetarian lifestyle sparked an interest in vegan fashion. This led him to write a business plan that laid the foundation for his first successful venture, marking the start of his journey in the eco-conscious fashion industry.

Two decades later, feeling that the fashion industry needed to take further responsibility for its environmental impact, Inder shifted his focus toward advanced sustainable initiatives. He dedicated years to research and development, aiming to create one of the most sustainable fashion brands in the world, with a determination to produce everything locally in Canada.

In 2021 Inder was named a Climate Champion by the United Nations through its COP 26 Initiative for his work in sustainable fashion.

Inder's latest venture, BEDI Studios, began in the scrapyards of Quebec, with the first collection made from upcycled materials like old airplane seats and car seat belts. The current Japandi-inspired collection features winter coats rated to -30°C/-22°F, utilitarian bags, and thick cotton knits, all made from high-quality, sustainable materials. BEDI is B Corp certified and highly rated by Good On You.

In addition to a flagship boutique in Montreal’s Mile End district, BEDI Studios’ line is available at prominent retailers like Holt Renfrew and Simons in Canada.
