About
Co-Founders, Amanat Anand, and Shubham Issar both grew up in New Delhi, India, and met while studying Industrial Design at the Parsons School of Design in New York. After graduating, they entered and won UNICEF Wearables for Good Challenge for the concept of SoaPen. SoaPen was created in response to recognizing the health benefits of handwashing with soap. Handwashing with soap can protect 1 out of every 3 children who get sick with diarrhea and other respiratory infections and can reduce absenteeism in schools by up to 57%.
