Zandra Stone was founded by Alexandra Stone — a creative entrepreneur, tastemaker, and co-founder of celebrated Australian lifestyle brands Bluestone Lane and Husk Bakeshop. Her story is one shaped by movement, creativity, and a lifelong love of thoughtful curation.
Raised on the salt-air coastlines of Melbourne, Alexandra was a national track athlete in her youth, pursuing excellence both on the track and in the classroom. She majored in Biomedical Science with early ambitions in health and wellness — but ultimately felt called to a life that fed her creativity. For Alexandra, creativity is the force of life — a necessary expression of self, beauty, and emotion.
Her early love of design was nurtured through fine art drawing and in her mother and grandmother’s sewing rooms — learning to create with her hands and finding magic in treasured heirlooms, vintage markets, and the curated pieces hidden in her mother’s wardrobe- pieces that carried history, emotion, and meaning.
Years spent living and working in New York, Europe, and beyond — including a successful international modelling career — only deepened her belief that style is more than appearance; it’s emotional, personal, and deeply connected to wellbeing.
