About

Vinat is a sister-founded wine company sourcing and rebranding exclusive European wines with fabulously cheeky labels and no unwanted additives.

We’re showing women that you don’t have to be an expert or break the bank to enjoy great wine.

Vinat taste-tests all their wines extensively to ensure they all taste great right out of the bottle and pair well with a wide variety of foods. On the website, you'll also find unconventional pairing recommendations for all the wines including binge-able shows, movies, books, and Spotify playlists. As a sister-founded, women-led company, Vinat seeks to use its platform to empower, support, and advocate for other women. They're constantly seeking new ways to support women and minorities with Vinat, through supporting underrepresented winemakers to sourcing label art from lesser-known artists.

Founding Story

Vinat is a sister-founded, women-led company in a male-dominated industry.

Sarah and Emily Mack's passion for wine began through a love of travel and understanding people and places. Like the diverse places wine comes from, they realized wine is dynamic and brings people together.

Sarah and Emily started their first business together, Fofas, with a friend during the pandemic. Fofas was a women’s luxury accessories business which they ultimately decided to sunset as they were all moving to different cities. They loved the experience and from Fofas, they learned that they work well together. With the many learnings from this first venture, they began looking out for our next!

Sarah worked in corporate roles (primarily finance) before pursuing her MBA at IESE in Barcelona. Outside her “day job” Sarah had a side project of Travel Blogging. Emily worked across consulting and the startup world in UX design and research primarily focused on new products and disruptive innovation. Sarah working on her MBA in Spain gave them an opportunity to learn more about the wine industry. They applied their skills from their day jobs to their love of wine and identified an opportunity to shake up an industry they're passionate about.

When they began telling friends they were starting a wine business nearly all of them apologized for not having enough knowledge on wine.

Wine is fun and exciting, it shouldn’t be intimidating.

Sarah and Emily created Vinat to make wine more approachable and fun – as it should be.
