Founding Story
The humble roots started as a fundraiser for the owners terminally ill father to thank the nurses who cared for him at Maui Memorial Hospital when he passed.
A school teacher at the time she turned in her teachers hat for a bakers cap and decided to continue after the fundraiser was over.
Giving Back-The Maui Cookie Lady continues to give back to her community with her initiative to collect footware for the public schools. As a former school counselor/teacher she saw first hand the need for "slippahs", a local term for flip-flops. There is no budget in our school system for this basic need and she saw first hand the public school staff funding this purchase out of their own pockets. Since the initiative started in 2015 she has been able to donate over 7000 pairs to all the public schools on the three islands that make up Maui County.
Their motto, " No Bare Foot Left Behind."
