Founding Story
Evalee Gertz, founder of Sia Silk, has a background as a professional dancer. In her pursuit of peak performance, she dedicated herself to improving her overall health, focusing specifically on anti-aging techniques and the importance of quality sleep. Sleep quickly became a central part of her regimen, as she learned how essential it was for muscle recovery, cognitive function, and overall well-being. She realized that a sleep mask was one of the simplest and most effective ways to improve sleep quality.
However, after trying numerous masks, Evalee found herself dissatisfied. While synthetic masks provided good light-blocking properties, they often caused breakouts and contained chemical adhesives. Silk masks, with their anti-microbial properties, ability to help retain skin moisture, and support in cell turnover for anti-aging, didn’t fit well or provide complete darkness. Recognizing this gap in the market, Evalee created Sia Silk. She designed her masks with a unique shape for better fit, total blackout capabilities, and larger-than-standard eye cups to protect eyelashes—ensuring a more restful, skin-nourishing sleep experience.

Absolutely Love this Mask
I’ve never properly tried a sleep mask before because I was scared of eyelash breakage, but this was so nice. I didn’t think I would be comfortable enough to sleep in these, but I knocked out immediately. The little grooves the mask has for the eyes and lashes prevent the discomfort I’ve felt simply trying on other masks. I’ll definitely be using this every night as I think this can aid in me fixing my sleep schedule. Highly recommend!
