New York, NY (May 21, 2024) —Saint Holiday, a resort wear brand known for its simple sophistication, ethical manufacturing, and art-inspired tropical prints, is excited to announce the launch of its newest men’s swim trunk.
Up until now, the young brand has been focused on creating timeless resort pieces for women. Think barefoot luxury in the form of effortless caftans, shell accessories, and cool-girl beach sets. Known for clean lines and tailored details, their women’s apparel often pays homage to menswear through silhouette and shirting details.
Co-founders Kate Lessa and Vijay Paintal have always envisioned expanding the collection. Vacation style is a passion of theirs and note that swim trunks are an item that men tend to have a little more fun with print and color. “Guys love our prints. I often get stopped on the street (or beach) asking where my shirts are from,” says Lessa.
Inspired by vintage Hawaiian shirts, botanical art, and island living, Saint Holiday has worked with local artists and a 4th generation family-owned mill to bring their vision to life. Their limited edition prints are recognizable by a loose tropical feel and visible brush strokes. Saint Holiday anticipates dropping new prints in small quantities several times a year!
After nearly a year of development, the fit and fabrication were perfected. The exterior design offers clean lines and tailored details, while the inner layer is an innovative compression-sport lining made from quick-drying Italian elastane that is UV-protective and chlorine-resistant. The shell fabric is incredibly soft, made from brushed fibers woven from recycled marine plastic.
Each suit is expertly cut and sewn at their boutique atelier in the Garment District of New York City. “We believe in slow fashion. Making quality items that stand the test of time is a pillar of our company. We also want to invest in local manufacturing,” says Paintal, who grew up around the Garment District, going to work with his parents at their apparel company on 37th St.
