November 20, 2022 - With heart, community & a regenerative spirit in its charter, One Golden Thread is honored to support the Urban Forestry Project by One Tree Planted, providing a needed gift and lift to 26 cities across America. As one of the first funders of the Urban Forestry Project, One Golden Thread’s $10,000 donation will help kickstart efforts to reduce the effect of dangerous urban heat islands, provide green spaces for communities most in need, and enhance air quality to improve human health.

One Tree Planted’s Urban Forestry Project ensures environmental justice by providing funding to a diverse mix of city-centered projects for under-resourced communities. Climate change heavily affects low-income communities and communities of color. Urban trees are needed now more than ever. The Urban Forestry Project covers 16 states and 24 cities, totaling up to 27 projects, thus aiding the livelihoods and health of millions.
