About

The purpose of Omic Skincare is to provide products that give a radiant glow for all skin types. Omic Skincare specializes in skincare needs for people who struggle with melasma, sun spots/dark spots, egzema, hyperpigmentation, and acne/acne scarring. Each of our products are dermitalogically approved and manufactured ethically. Omic's products are Vegan, paraben-free, and cruelty-free.

The beauty of Omic is that it was started by a Lebanese immigrant with a task to give back to the Lebanese community. Though the company is headquartered in Miami, FL, the factory in which products are made and sourced from is in Beirut. We give an opportunity to the bright minds that reside in the war-ridden country of Lebanon with a goal of giving 10% profit to the reconstruction of the port destroyed in Lebanon.

People of all race and gender have the skin issues we tailor our products towards, making our mission statement simple: Innovation for All Skin.

Founding Story

The story of how OMIC is one that came to be through my father Michel Farah. The name stands for 'Of Mitchell International Cosmetics,' which he coined back in 1987 while living in Thames Ditton, England. It all began with three core products: an antiseptic soap, a dark spot cream, and a hydrating body lotion, which we initially exported to Nigeria. The brand quickly gained traction as Nigerian traders distributed it across Africa and even into Saudi Arabia, where the products were used as barter items during pilgrimages to Hajj.

By 1995, a Miami company reached out to import OMIC to the U.S., but during one of his visits, he found counterfeit versions of our products being sold under our name. We had to take swift legal action to protect the brand, though it nearly collapsed in the process. In 2008, we relaunched OMIC with a renewed focus on skincare for issues like acne, rosacea, and skin discoloration. Over time, we embraced vegan formulations and natural ingredients, with our innovative use of Tranexamic Acid playing a key role in the brand’s success. Despite the challenges, I'm proud of OMIC’s journey and excited for its future.
