O&H Danish Bakery is a world-renowned bakery, located in Racine, Wis., known for its popular Kringle, available nationwide with 2-day shipping direct from their website and also with select flavors in Trader Joe's nationwide. Kringle is a Danish pastry made with 36 layers of buttery, flaky dough shaped into an oval. It is filled with flavors like fruit, nuts and cheese, and traditionally topped with icing.
The bakery is in its 75th year of business, now run by the family's fourth generation.
Founding Story
O&H Danish Bakery opened in 1949 when Danish immigrant Christian Olesen decided to start his own business after working in Racine bakeries for 25 years. 75 years and four generations later, O&H has gained national acclaim, offering up to 20 flavors of Kringle at one time and making up to 7,000 Kringle a day during the Holidays. Today, O&H continues to offer beloved scratch made treats from holiday Kringle to birthday cakes.
