NEW YORK, NY (July 31, 2024) – Latimer, the first inclusive large language model (LLM), is proud to announce that its Founder and CEO, John Pasmore, has been recognized with the 2024 Generative AI Visionary award at the 6th annual VentureBeat AI Innovation Awards, which took place in San Francisco earlier this month.

When ChatGPT was first released, Pasmore saw the biases and inaccuracies, and set out to build a solution. Latimer uses a RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) model and its own training database – full of factual, representative, licensed and/or public sources such as textbooks, dissertations, documents, etc. – to provide more accurate and less biased responses. This structure, along with a new framework of bias assessment, and additional guardrails and tools to come, enables Latimer to mitigate bias in its outputs and be a resource for anyone looking for more inclusive AI.
