Komel Caruso is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of HerMD. Physician-founded, patient-forward, and mission-driven, HerMD has been revolutionizing the future of women’s healthcare through an integrated, evidence-based model delivering comprehensive women’s healthcare all under one roof. In her role, Komel is the lead executor of HerMD’s vision — overseeing operations, marketing, brand and product. A marketing and brand enthusiast, Komel is the creator of HerMD’s patient-centric brand and experience.

Prior to joining HerMD, Komel spent 15+ years as a leader in operations, marketing and branding within the ed tech space at Kaplan, Story2 and Applerouth Education. Komel earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan and her Masters of Science in Integrated Marketing from New York University. She was most recently featured as NJ Mom’s MOMpreneur of the week as well as in New Jersey Family. She has been a featured speaker at the Women and Worth Summit and Luminary x HeyMama’s Women Who Innovate Summit 2023. She is also a proud member of the Female Founder Collective. Komel also sits on the board of Under the Sisterhood. Under the Sisterhood is a social impact company that celebrates all women’s voices and perspectives. 

Dr. Karla Loken is a board-certified obstetrician, gynecologist, and former Robotics instructor with industry and Non-Profit experience across Pharma, Diagnostic, and medical devices and with Women’s health advocacy. Has proven track record of cross-functional collaboration on global teams, strategic input to business and medical/science plans, and success in developing educational programs and oversight of clinical studies. Experience collaborating and evaluating Business development plans. She seeks to leverage medical expertise, analytic thinking, strong communication skills, and passion for process improvement to partner with industry to find and collaborate with the next big discoveries in Women’s Health. Since leaving clinical medicine, Dr. Loken has become a bridge between her peers & industry since she feels her unique experiences match the APRA-H mission.

Dr. Loken, throughout her career, has been a passionate advocate for women’s health for over 25 years. She is a member of ACOOG and currently serves on the Resident Research Review committee. She is a member of the Council for the Health of Women and a Board Member of the Indiana Vaccine Coalition. Her experience in private academics and as an advocate, in addition to her transition to an industry leader for non-clinical careers in women’s health, complements the current needs of the expanding HerMD team. Dr. Loken’s experience in device development, medical affairs strategy, and patient safety will help shape the future of HerMD clinics and healthcare model.

Dr. Amberly Davidson is a Board Certified OB/GYN with 16 years of experience in women’s healthcare. She has a strong interest in all aspects of gynecology, including routine annual exams, counseling and initiation of contraceptive methods, and management of gynecologic problems with medical options or in-office procedures. Dr. Davidson has been honored to have been selected as a “ Top Doctor” for Cincinnati Magazine for three years in a row, as voted on by her peers. 

In her free time, Dr. Davidson enjoys spending time with her husband and children (2 sons and a daughter). They spend most spring and summer nights at the baseball fields where Dr. Davidson is relied upon for scorekeeping! Her daughter is active in cheer and tumbling. They also enjoy traveling and seeing new parts of the world. 

Dr. Taylor Hahn is a patient-centered, personable, board-certified OB/GYN with comprehensive and evidence-based knowledge and skill in treating the breadth of obstetric and gynecologic conditions. She is skilled in high-risk obstetrics management, minimally invasive surgery, abnormal uterine bleeding, sexual health, perimenopause and menopause care, cervical dysplasia management and surveillance, infertility, endometriosis, and preventive women’s health care. She brings HerMD over 10 years of training and experience in gynecologic surgery, including vaginal, laparoscopic, and abdominal hysterectomy, as well as hysteroscopy, miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy management, and sterilization.

Dr. White is board-certified and has over 30 years of experience in women’s health care. Dr. White performs a full range of services including gynecological care for women across the lifespan, in-office surgical procedures, hospital-based surgery, sexual health, menopause, preconception counseling, contraception, and evaluation of fertility issues. Dr. White is a passionate advocate for women. 

Amy Kinnett is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the women’s healthcare space. She specializes in all aspects of gynecology, including adolescent health care, sexual health, management of vaginitis, contraception options, infertility evaluation and management, and menopause care. Amy is a strong believer in providing comprehensive care for all of her patients. She understands each of her patients has a unique life experience and health journey; she partners with them to achieve their healthcare goals. 

When Amy is not caring for patients, she enjoys exploring new places with her husband and 3 sons!

Jackie graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Masters of Science degree in Nursing and Certification in Nurse Midwifery.

She then went on to complete her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at the University of Kentucky. In addition, she is also certified by The North American Menopause Society. Jackie holds professional memberships in the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses, The American College of Nurse Midwives, and The North American Menopause Society.

She has over 20 years experience as a women’s health care provider in her hometown of greater Cincinnati. She performs a full range of gynecologic services caring for women across the lifespan from adolescence through menopause, including preconception counseling, all forms of contraception, sexual health and hormone management along with menopause.

Her mission is to empower women, encouraging them to be active participants in their health and wellness.

Jackie is a Board-Certified Nurse Midwife who is passionate about providing evidence-based gynecological care. She comes to HerMD with over ten years of experience in providing full-scope Obstetrics and Gynecology. During her time in obstetrics, she saw the deficit in education for people in perimenopause, menopause, and those with sexual dysfunction, and so her desire to care for and empower women in this season of life was born. 

Jackie places a focus on providing holistic care and treating the individual as a whole with an emphasis on improving quality of life. She can offer sexual health, menopause counseling, wellness exams, contraception, and STI screening. As a Midwife, Jackie’s goal is to partner with her patients to provide a patient-centered and nurturing experience while navigating life’s most sensitive topics.

Courtney is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with nearly two decades of experience. She has ten years of bedside nursing in oncology, labor, and delivery and an additional ten years of experience as a Women’s Health NP in gynecology, oncology, labor, and delivery. Courtney finds purpose and passion for caring for all persons who are born as women and identify as women in her community and globally.

She is passionate about partnering with patients through perimenopause and menopause management to maximize their quality of life. From weight management and hormones to gynecologic care, Courtney is excited to come up with a unique treatment plan that works for you!
