Helia Health & Beauty offers eco-friendly, pure, all-natural, results-driven, nourishing skincare, health supplements, in-person wellness classes, alternative spa and health services that help reduce stress and strengthen confidence in ones own skin. Founding Story
Formerly known as “Helia Integrated Health”, Helia Health and Beauty was founded approximately ten years ago as a service-based acupuncture and functional wellness practice. After having a negative experience with Botox, Founder Kate Overton was determined to find natural, non-invasive beauty products and services for herself and her clients. In spring of 2023, she expanded the business to include alternative spa treatments, organic skincare, and community wellness classes to help women look and feel less stressed, embrace their natural beauty, and encourage community support. Currently Helia is one of the only luxury naturally-minded health and beauty spas in the Baltimore area and sells a variety of curated products, including the brand’s own “Helia Glow” skincare online nationwide.
Kate Gust Overton is a licensed acupuncturist with a masters degree in acupuncture from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. She also holds the designation of ADAPT Trained Practitioner from Kresser Institute, the only Functional Medicine and ancestral health training company. Kate practices Traditional Chinese Medicine, Five Element Acupuncture, and uses various other modalities which include cupping, gua sha, essential oils, and moxibustion.
