About
GoSili's mission is simple yet powerful: to reduce the amount of toxic, plastic waste that ends up in landfills and oceans. By creating safe, silicone products, GoSili aims to provide sustainable alternatives for consumers, making it easier to say no to single-use plastics. But GoSili's impact goes beyond just the products they create. They also strive to educate and inspire others to make small changes in their daily lives that can have a big impact on the environment. By promoting the use of reusable products, GoSili is helping to reduce the demand for single-use plastics and ultimately decrease the amount of waste produced.
In addition to their commitment to sustainability, GoSili also prioritizes safety and functionality in their products. Their silicone-based material is free from harmful chemicals such as BPA and phthalates, making it safe for both people and the planet. And speaking about the planet, GoSili recycles not only GoSili products but all silicone. Taking responsibility and ensuring that at the end of life, the silicone is properly recycled, is a core value to the company.
Founding Story
In 2006, two friends, Stacey Feeley and Giuliana Schwab, found themselves navigating the early stages of parenthood. Amid the excitement and challenges of raising their young families, they were struck by a disturbing revelation—plastics, ubiquitous in baby products, contained BPA, a toxic chemical known to leach into food and drinks. This discovery turned their world upside down and sparked an urgent desire to protect their children from harmful substances.
Fueled by their concern, Stacey and Giuliana—affectionately known as "G"—began to envision a world where parents could rely on safe, non-toxic products for their children. They set their sights on silicone, a material that possessed all the attributes necessary to replace plastic. Silicone was easy to clean, could be boiled to sterilize, and was entirely inert, meaning it wouldn't react with other substances or leach toxins. Its durability meant it outlasted plastic by a significant margin, making it not only a safer choice for children but also a more environmentally sustainable one.
With silicone as their chosen material, Stacey and G launched Silikids, a line of children's tableware products designed to provide safe alternatives to plastic. Their mission was clear—protect the health of their children and future generations while addressing a growing environmental crisis. The duo's innovative use of silicone quickly gained traction, resonating with eco-conscious parents who sought better options for their families.
What began as a niche line for children soon evolved into something much larger. Recognizing the widespread dependence on plastic in everyday life, Stacey and Giuliana expanded their vision beyond Silikids, leading to the creation of the broader GoSili brand. GoSili now offers a diverse range of products for both kids and adults, all rooted in the same principles of health, safety, and sustainability. From reusable silicone straws and cups to food storage solutions, GoSili provides consumers with practical, stylish alternatives to single-use plastics. Every product is designed with care and purpose, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility.
