Finn is a direct-to-consumer pet wellness company offering premium soft-chew supplements, with no unnecessary fillers or artificial preservatives. Finn's mission is to create a happier world where our dogs are as healthy as humans can be. They give us so much love and happiness, helping them live their fullest lives is the least we can do in return :) All Finn supplements are endorsed by vets and formulated with real, natural and organic ingredients. The supplements are manufactured in the USA, and produced through cold-press extrusion to maximize the ingredients’ potency and efficacy.
Finn launched in September 2020 as the latest brand incubated within DTC startup studio Innovation Department. Innovation Department raised $3.7M in June 2020 with participation from Long Light Capital, Synergis Capital, Ambridge Capital, Corigin Ventures and M13 Ventures. Finn's initial product line includes four premium supplements: Hip & Joint, Multivitamin, Skin & Coat, and Calming Aid. Each SKU contains 90 soft chews packaged in beautifully designed round tin canisters, which are eco-friendly and recyclable into perpetuity. Finn products are currently available for purchase on the direct site, Amazon, and Grove Collaborative with plans to expand into additional online channels and retail channels in the near future.
Founding Story
Originally, Alex and his partners founded a wellness company for humans. Alex would come home every day from working to give people the healthiest, happiest lives possible, and be met at the door by the loving face of his best friend, his spaniel BonBon (who isn’t getting any younger). He couldn’t help but realize that BonBon deserved our help just as much as anyone. And so, Finn was born.
Finn wants to do everything possible to keep our four-legged friends happy and healthy. So we give back — by partnering with local animal shelters, and donating a portion of our proceeds to help with their rescue efforts. And by giving shelters lots of Finn supplements — to help keep their doggos healthy.

Meet the co-founder of Finn, James Shalhoub, who is bringing his personal passion of pets and wellness together to create the golden standard of pet wellness. While working 18+ hour days in investment banking, James found that eating better and making time for exercise improved his life exponentially. Within three years, he shifted his entire career to the wellness space.
James started working at WellPath, a human nutrition company, where he learned the ins and outs of the wellness industry, mastering formulas and creating top-of-the-line products that put the ingredients at the top and left out all fillers. While at WellPath, he was running a dog-centric newsletter, and realized the importance of people’s dogs to them - James found that many pet owners will have birthday parties and dedicate Instagram accounts to their dogs, they also want them to live their healthiest life.
With this knowledge and platform, Finn was born, pioneering a new category of pet wellness that has evolved with the times. James spent over a year developing all aspects of the company from product development to branding, and continues to lead Finn on its mission to elevate the standards of pet wellness.
