As a Registered and Licensed Dietitian and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with over a decade of experience in the health and wellness industry, I have developed a deep commitment to improving people's lives. My early work as a kinesiologist and certified sports nutritionist gave me valuable experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, helping me develop a keen understanding of my clients' unique needs and challenges. Driven by my desire to expand my knowledge and expertise, I pursued a dietetics degree from the University of Alabama, where I excelled academically and graduated Summa Cum Laude. During my studies, I served as the treasurer for the Distance Student Dietetic Association, where I developed strong leadership skills that have proven invaluable in my career. Today, I work as a clinical dietitian, managing over a hundred inpatient beds while running a successful private practice. Through my dedication and hard work, I have earned recognition from major online publications such as Forbes Health, Generation Iron, and T-Nation, where I have been featured for my contributions to the field. I remain committed to staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in my field, attending conferences, workshops, and other professional development opportunities to ensure that I continue providing my patients and clients with the highest level of care. Avital strives to provide every client with the individualized approach they need. When working with Avital, clients can expect empathy, a creative thinker with a “real-life” approach to problem-solving, and a clinician well-versed in deep science and the latest research. Avital takes pride in explaining conditions, lab tests, and other concepts that many clinicians skip over.

Avital's specialty areas include high blood sugar (prediabetes, diabetes (type 1 & 2), gestational diabetes), high cholesterol and triglycerides, pediatrics, and Intuitive Eating. Avital received her Nutrition and Dietetics degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and completed her required internship year at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. She became a licensed dietitian in 2018, and since then has expanded her experience in both clinical and community settings, been published in national journals, local newspapers, and online, and has successfully helped many clients manage their blood sugar, lower their cholesterol, and rediscover their healthy relationship with eating.

A common refrain Avital hears from clients is “why doesn’t everyone teach this?” as clients learn to understand biology and nutrition in a straightforward way. It gives Avital great joy to help explain how the body works, which in turn allows recommendations to be more easily understood, rationalized, and followed.
