LOS ANGELES (Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022) – The LA Galaxy today announced the third skateboard collaboration with DGK, the ‘Quasar’ deck, which will go on sale to the public exclusively at the LA Galaxy Foundation booth at Dignity Health Sports Park for the match against Seattle Sounders FC on Friday, Aug. 19. Earlier this season, the Galaxy released the ‘Locally Grown, Globally Known’ deck and the ‘Community’ deck. The collaborations are the first of its kind in MLS and the Galaxy are the only club in the league to have three different skateboard decks.
“We are very excited to partner with DGK again for our third skateboard drop this season,” said Urel Martinez, Senior Vice President of Sales & Service. “This partnership brings two iconic Southern California brands together yet again, with all proceeds going back to the community.”
Inspired by Los Angeles and the South Bay culture between skateboarding and soccer, the ‘Quasar’ deck marks the third collaboration between DGK and the LA Galaxy. The ‘Quasar’ deck will be limited to 150 units and will be on sale for $85, with proceeds benefiting the LA Galaxy Foundation and DGK’s Saved by Skateboarding foundation.
