LOS ANGELES, September 17, 2022 - DGK and the L.A. Clippers head to San Bernardino to donate complete skateboards to the Salvation Army through the Saved by Skateboarding Program. The Salvation Army is an international movement designed to aid in all humanitarian needs ranging from disaster relief to rehabilitation. They assist over 30 million Americans annually with a rich history of giving back to humans without discrimination. DGK & the Salvation Army hope that through the Saved by Skateboarding program we can encourage the youth to explore a positive creative outlet instead of continuing on a destructive path.
We ask you to consider supporting the community by producing a news segment examining the positive impact of encouraging the youth to pick up a skateboard. Saved by Skateboarding Program Director Donald Cooley will be at the event for any interviews needed on the program. DGK will also be using its considerable social reach (over 3m daily active users across all channels) to help spread the news.
