Founding Story
On a mission to cultivate artisanal spirits that symbolize the human experience of bonding and forming connections, Julian Peebles and Tory Brown founded Common Ground Spirits in 2020. They believe that finding a common ground with those around them is what adds substance and meaning to our lives. Their common ground is the belief that everybody, no matter race, religion, or gender identity should have equal opportunities in all aspects of life—and their approach to premium craft spirits embodies those values. Their hope is that you will join them on this journey and find common ground over a dram of artisanal Gin and Bourbon expressions.

Julian Grew up in Claremont, CA, a small college town about 35 miles from Los Angeles, CA. He completed his undergraduate degree at Saint Mary’s College of California located in Moraga, CA and his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Southern California located in Los Angeles, CA. Throughout his career he's held positions of increasing levels of responsibility at several technology companies in the Bay Area before founding Common Ground Spirits.

Tory grew up in Milpitas, CA, near Silicon Valley. He graduated from DeVry University and received an Associate Degree in Electronics and Computer Technology in Los Angeles, CA. He's held training and product support engineering positions for different networking companies, and he prides himself in giving back to the community and mentoring the youth, having coached youth sports for over a decade. Prior to founding Common Ground Spirits, he started a small t-shirt and printer cartridge refill business.
