Club Dion draws its name and spirit from Dionysus, the Greek god of wine, pleasure, ritual, and collective ecstasy — a deity celebrated for breaking boundaries, embracing transformation, and creating space for radical joy and self-expression.
In mythology, Dionysus welcomed outsiders, misfits, and those on the margins into his revelry — making him a powerful symbol for the queer community and its ongoing journey of coming out, coming up, and celebrating identity. We took that legacy and reimagined it for the modern world, creating Club Dion: a space where queerness is not only seen but elevated, celebrated, and centered.
Club Dion is a new kind of queer social club, born at the intersection of nightlife, culture, and community. More than a party, it's a movement—a curated space for bold self-expression, creative connection, and queer elevation. Inspired by the glamour of fashion houses, the intimacy of salons, and the energy of underground scenes, Club Dion is where chosen family meets chosen future. From immersive launch events to future memberships and cultural programming, the brand is committed to uplifting LGBTQ+ voices, celebrating queer joy, and championing those coming out and coming up. With its eyes on becoming a defining force in modern queer culture, Club Dion is not just a venue—it’s a vision.
Founding Story
Club Dion was born from a shared vision between two queer creatives who had navigated the worlds of tech, fashion, finance, and nightlife — and yet still felt the absence of a space that truly reflected the layered, luminous lives of the LGBTQ+ community.
As a queer South Asian woman building in product and tech, I (Zoya) was constantly moving between high-powered spaces where queerness felt muted and queer spaces that often lacked access, visibility, or cultural elevation. My partner, Erica, a seasoned fashion executive and nightlife curator, had spent years shaping brand stories and producing some of NYC’s most talked-about events — yet saw firsthand how few of them centered queerness with both intention and style.
We created Club Dion to bridge that gap — to design something different.
Not just a party. Not just a scene.
But a movement.
A space that feels like home to some and heaven to others.
Inspired by Dionysus, the Greek god of ritual, release, and celebration, Club Dion is a modern altar to queer excellence — reimagining access, self-expression, and cultural connection through curated experiences, member gatherings, and bold, beautiful storytelling.
Our goal isn’t just to throw unforgettable events (though we do that too). It’s to build a living, breathing collective that helps queer people not only come out, but come up — with community, creativity, and care.
