​Blues Hog Barbecue, headquartered in Washington, Missouri, is renowned for its award-winning barbecue sauces, rubs, marinades, charcoal, and wood products. Founded by legendary pitmaster Bill Arnold, Blues Hog has earned the title "Award-Winning Choice of Champions," with its products being utilized by competition teams, top chefs, and restaurateurs worldwide. ​


Bill Arnold's passion for cooking ignited during his upbringing just outside of Memphis, Tennessee. His dedication led to the creation of Blues Hog Barbecue Sauce, a product that has garnered more awards than any other commercial sauce on the market. After a decade-long battle with cancer, Bill passed away in late 2021. In September 2023, he was posthumously inducted into the Barbecue Hall of Fame, solidifying his legacy in the barbecue community.


In 2015, Bill Arnold entrusted the Blues Hog brand and its original recipes to fellow champion pitmaster Tim Scheer. Under Tim's leadership, the company expanded its product line and continued to build upon the brand's esteemed reputation. Notably, in 2022, Blues Hog secured the Grand Champion title at the prestigious Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest, further exemplifying the brand's commitment to excellence. ​


Today, Blues Hog Barbecue offers a comprehensive range of products designed to elevate the barbecue experience for both professional pitmasters and backyard enthusiasts. With a focus on quality ingredients and authentic flavors, Blues Hog continues to be a staple in the barbecue community. Their products are made with natural ingredients and are proudly produced in the USA. They offer free shipping for online orders over $99, excluding meat and charcoal. Founding Story

Bill Arnold is the man behind Blues Hog Barbecue Sauce. Raised by his grandmother just outside of Memphis, Tennessee, Bill’s passion for cooking came at an early age. In the 1980's Bill perfected the four signature sauce recipes and Original dry rub recipe to use in competitions. In 2015, Tim Scheer bought Blues Hog from Bill, expanding his growing BBQ brand. Tim began cooking in BBQ competitions at the age of 26 and it didn’t take long before he began cranking out wins under his team name Shake ‘N Bake BBQ. Over the years, Tim has won 35+ Grand Champion titles and 40+ Reserve Grand Championship titles. In 2022, Tim won Memphis in May Overall Grand Champion & World Champion in Whole Hog. He is consistently bringing new ideas to the table, driving the success of his competition BBQ team and Blues Hog. Bill’s legacy lives on as the sauce created in his garage now spans shelves across the world.

Born and raised on a hog farm in New Haven, Missouri, Tim and his wife, Terri, now raise their three daughters just up the road from the family farm. Tim began cooking in BBQ competitions at the age of 26 and it didn’t take long before he began cranking out wins. Over the years, Tim has won 35+ Grand Champion titles and 40+ Reserve Grand Champion titles, most recently he was awarded Memphis in May Overall Grand Champion & World Champion in Whole Hog.


In 2014, Tim developed and patented the Gateway Drum Smoker®, revolutionizing BBQ by cooking ‘Hot & Fast' and in 2015, he bought the rights to Blues Hog® from Bill Arnold, expanding his BBQ brand. More recently, Tim returned to his farming roots and established Marble Ridge Farms®, specializing in high-end Wagyu Beef and Mangalitsa Pork. Tim is consistently bringing new ideas to the table, driving the success of the Shake 'N Bake BBQ team, Blues Hog®, Gateway Drum Smokers®, and Marble Ridge Specialty Farms®.
