Bluecorn Candles is proud to share their new DIY Candle Refill Kits in 100% home compostable pouches. These kits are available in all seven of the brand's popular Aromática scents and contain everything required to make one large candle (~10oz) or two smaller candles.

Bluecorn has been making natural candles by hand in Colorado since 1991 and they're famous for their wide range of pure beeswax candles, including custom refills that are both affordable and eco-friendly. When the brand jumped into the wild world of fragrance-forward veggie wax candles in 2024, they knew they'd want to offer a refill option that upheld their commitment to sustainability, value and craft.

"We're so excited to share our passion for craft candle-making in this new way," said Tessa Cheek, who leads product development at Bluecorn. "These kits are fun, easy, super low-waste and incredibly good value for money. Plus, there's really nothing more satisfying that burning a candle you made with your own hands."

While the kits are specifically designed to refill the gorgeous, beaded amber glass Bluecorn's Aromática candles come in, they can also be used to fill any heat-proof holder that's about 3" in diameter.

"We encourage folks to be creative and take the craft seriously," said Bluecorn Founder Jon Kornbluh. "We offer a huge amount of candle-making information on our website and our customer service folks are experts on the topic in case questions arise."

When your old holder are full and glowing again, the refill pouch can be composted at home.

"Home compostability was a huge deal for us," said Cheek. "We're not kidding, you can bury these things in the backyard when they're empty."
