Founding Story

Stephanie Fels is the founder of Blue Cove Preserves. She grew up in a multicultural household with a French father and Ecuadorian mother. In her childhood she lived in France with her family, where, similarly to the rest of southern Europe, tinned fish is a culinary delicacy celebrated in the food culture. Her mission is to develop this craft in North America and put delicious tins of seafood preserves in kitchen pantries.


She tirelessly developed recipes in her kitchen during the Covid-19 pandemic, which presented itself as a window of opportunity to put her creative skills to the test. Within a period of 6 months of being on the market, Blue Cove Preserves won the 2024 Good Food Awards in April. It has also attracted clients in the luxury hospitality industry including 5-star hotels, wineries, restaurants and specialty stores.

Stephanie has a track record of 15 years in entrepreneurship, she has expertise in building Sales and Go To Market teams, with experience ranging from startups to public companies. In her last role, Stephanie joined the founding team of a FinTech company, eventually leading to a successful IPO. Besides running Blue Cove Preserves, she is an angel investor and advisor.
