About

AspenClean is the award-winning, eco-friendly, and chemical-free alternative to cleaning products. AspenClean is the first company to have a cleaning product certified by the Environmental Working Group (EWG).

AspenClean products are formulated only from plant and mineral-derived ingredients and come in packaging made from 50% post-consumer resin. Its products are baby-safe, pet-safe, Vegan, Ecocert® certified, and received an A-grade rating from the EWG.

Founding Story

The wife-and-husband team behind AspenClean is Alicia Sokolowski and Chris Solodko, who have been debunking the myth that in order to deep clean, you need to deploy potent, harmful chemicals to “get it done”. In 2004, with two small children, Alicia was on the hunt for non-toxic cleaners. When she realized how many toxic ingredients were in traditional cleaning products, learning about their impact on human health and the environment, she decided to create all-natural, eco-friendly, transparent cleaning products that were as effective as conventional ones.

Over 15 years later, AspenClean products are formulated using only the finest cosmetic grade ingredients derived from plants and minerals, to ensure healthy cleaning and minimal environmental impact.

Until it comes time to clean it out. That job is straight-up disgusting."

Fake lemon, lavender, mint, and pine smells used by most cleaning products can contain VOCs (volatile organic compounds), which are airborne chemicals that cause minor irritations to the eyes, nose, and throat. They can also lead to chronic diseases and respiratory issues with prolonged exposure."

We asked experts for advice on how often we should treat our shower curtains and liners to a good clean, and they delivered with plenty of tips on when and how to clean them—plus a scientific explanation of why it's so important."
