Anne co-founded 23andMe in 2006, three years after the first human genome was sequenced. Her goal was audacious: to help people access, understand, and benefit from the human genome and fundamentally change healthcare in the process.
Prior to founding 23andMe, Anne spent a decade on Wall Street investing in healthcare and felt frustrated by a system built around monetizing illness instead of incentivizing prevention. She wanted to flip that model on its head and build a business that helps people prevent illness rather than profit from it. Anne focused on empowering people with direct access to genetic information so that they could use their data to make decisions that could lower their risks for disease.
Under her leadership, 23andMe now provides the only personal genetic test with FDA authorization to deliver health information directly to consumers. Through its research platform, 23andMe has brought personalized medicine directly to millions of consumers.
Dr. Noura Abul-Husn is the Vice President of Genomic Health at 23andMe. She oversees a team of clinical and scientific experts focused on building novel preventive health services and contributing to company-wide genetics and health initiatives that impact millions of consumers.
Noura is a physician scientist who is known for pioneering genome-first approaches to provide novel clinical insights, inform therapeutic discovery, and implement genomic medicine programs tailored to ancestrally diverse populations. Throughout her career, she has led high-impact clinical, educational, and research programs that extend the reach of genomic medicine and personalized healthcare. Prior to joining 23andMe, she was the founding Chief of Genomic Medicine in the Department of Medicine and Clinical Director of the Institute for Genomic Health at Mount Sinai. Her work has been published in leading journals, including Science, Cell, and the New England Journal of Medicine.
Noura completed her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees and residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York and is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Medical Genetics.

Amy brings over 20 years experience as a genetic counselor working in healthcare and research settings with a strong background in leadership and innovation across multiple national organizations. Prior to 23andMe, Amy served as the Principal Investigator of the MyCode Community Health Initiative and the Director of its Genomic Screening and Counseling Program at Geisinger Health.
She received a M.S. in Molecular Pathology from The Ohio State University and a M.S. in Human Genetics and Genetic Counseling from University of Michigan.
Stacey has been a part of the 23andMe team since 2016. Her years of experience in Medical Affairs help to shape 23andMe’s products and messaging through her clinical genetics lens. Stacey interacts with many different teams at the company to ensure that there is valid and clear communication about 23andMe products and services within the company and externally.
Stacey’s past experience includes clinical and research experience as a genetic counselor in maternal fetal medicine clinics at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. She has served in leadership for the Precision Medicine special interest group of the National Society of Genetic Counselors.
Stacey earned her master’s degree in genetic counseling in 2012 from Arcadia University in Pennsylvania.
