Emilee - could you please submit for Mintly per the below? Thanks!

Brand name: Mintly

Website link: https://getmintly.com/

Contact name: Katie Omstead

Contact email address: katie@getmintly.com

How does your brand practice sustainability/why is it important to you? (a few sentences):

Mintly is a clean and sustainable oral wellness company that was created to address the sustainability challenges in the oral care industry. Our collection of new-format toothpaste tablets, mint lozenges with probiotics, and eco options for both toothbrushes and floss aim to promote mouth health while combatting the oral care industry's long standing single-use plastic problem (1.5 billion plastic toothpaste tubes + 1 billion plastic toothbrushes go to landfills annually!).

Since we started, we've led with sustainability at the forefront across our format, packaging, and practices. Our waterless-format toothpaste tablets eliminate water and the need for chemical preservatives that can harm us or the planet, and have the added benefits of preventing overuse and wasted product. Our packaging is entirely eco-friendly, with our tablet products housed in glass jars with metal caps that are meant to be reused, refilled, and/or recycled, and our toothbrushes and floss made from earth-friendly materials like corn straw and bamboo and shipped in compostable kraft paper packing. Our eco ethos extends to design, shipping, and other areas of our business as well, where we optimize to reduce waste (e.g., less ink, less outer packaging) and carbon emissions (e.g., ground shipping, offsetting options at checkout) for the protection of the planet. We're also a proud member of 1% for the Planet!

Brand name: Tofers

Website link: https://tofers.co/

Contact name: Tom Tofield

Contact email address: Tom@Tofers.co

How does your brand practice sustainability/why is it important to you? (a few sentences): We're on a mission to make the most comfortable, refined men's shoes on the planet while looking out for the planet

  • How we practice sustainability:
  • Our main product, the Hampton smoking slipper, is made of eco-conscious components to minimize our impact on the environment. We use chrome-free leather, soles made of 70% recycled rubber, recycled foam padding, biodegradable counters & stiffeners, cotton stitching, and water-based adhesives. There's no other product like ours.
  • Our shoes are made by an ethically run factory in Portugal, and we source 90% of our materials from within Portugal to minimize the supply chain impacts. The remaining 10% come from within the EU.
  • We also plant one mangrove tree and restore one square foot of kelp forest for each pair sold
  • We use conscious packaging (no plastics, recycled cardboard, minimal ink/inserts) and offset each individual shipment
  • We are not fast fashion; we produce in limited colorways and don't follow a seasonal release schedule so we don't have to "clear out" any old styles. We make our products in modest runs and replenish inventory as needed.
  • Why it is important to us:
  • Every product makes has an impact on the environment, no matter how much carbon offsetting you do. We want to minimize the footprint we leave behind, and hope other brands will work to do so as well, to ensure our planet and ecosystems can get back to thriving (or at a minimum... surviving) for future generations!
