Name:

publicist- Sara Spiegel

brand founder name- Sarah Carson

Contact email: sara@withsarapr.com

Your brand or company name: Leota

Why you're a fit (2-3 sentences): Sarah Carson brings a unique perspective to the fashion industry as a former investment banker who longed for a work culture that invited diversity. Unable to find that on Wall Street, Sarah, who is LGBTQ+ and has a curvy figure, created the clothing and work environment that allowed her to be her. Leota is now a multi-million dollar company and sold in retail stores nationwide.

On June 1 in a video titled “Coming Out Again”, Sarah will describe her journey/experiences as an LGBTQ-identifying entrepreneur and business owner, who along the way has supported her, what she feels are the most urgent issues facing the community right now, how Leota (“All Love”) is working to create an inclusive future (regardless of sexual/gender orientation, race, class, etc.). Why now? Balancing brand values with sales data is something every business owner has to determine, but in the wake of Roe v Wade and a former presidency that moved our country so far backwards, Sarah feels its more important than ever to speak up.

Name:

publicist- Sara Spiegel

brand founder name-Rechelle Balanzat

Contact email: sara@withsarapr.com

Your brand or company name: Juliette (juliettelaundry.com, https://www.instagram.com/irechelle/)

Why you're a fit (2-3 sentences): Rechelle Balanzat is the CEO and founder of tech company Juliette, a New York City based laundry and dry cleaning provider known for their fast and reliable service. Rechelle launched Juliette in 2014, bootstrapped and self funded. In 2019, five years into building her tech meets fashion and lifestyle company, Juliette Laundry, Rechelle had only been told "No” by potential investors. If you consider the statistic that only 0.2% of investments go to women (of color), the likelihood of Rechelle, who is from the Philippines, getting an investment was basically zero.

Then a complete stranger invested, model and the face of Tom Ford, Alex CunhaOne day he wired the funds into her account w/o even signing a contract. He believed in her and he believed in the idea and that was enough for him. To this day Juliette has never received venture capital, something she hopes to change in the future and bring awareness to the inequalities women and minorities face when fundraising.

Name: Brittany Baker

Contact email: Brittany@fomobaking.com

Your brand or company name: FOMO Baking CO.

Why you're a fit (2-3 sentences): After my first daughter was born, I left my intense legal career in order to pursue my dream of opening a direct-to-consumer allergen free bakery. I have spent the past few years juggling the challenges of having two kids during the pandemic and running a new business on my own. I can speak on many directions - being an entrepreneur and mom during Covid, making a career change to follow a dream, the challenges of working in a (top) allergy-free market, etc.
