Today's pick: "Want a blue check mark on Twitter? It may soon cost you $19.99 a month" from CNN

Twitter verification is valuable for brands and experts - it tells others that you are who you say you are and can help further establish your credibility. Right now, verification badges are free, but with Elon Musk's recent Twitter takeover, the social media giant is reportedly preparing to upend that (and with it what verification can convey) by instituting a monthly fee for verification. According to reporting from CNN (by way of The Verge) and others, Twitter is weighing a $20/month charge for the blue check mark associated with verification, making it more readily available to the masses and harder to sift through whether or not verified accounts are truly who they say they are.

Have thoughts about the reported plan? If Twitter moves forward with this, will you stay active on the platform? Will you pay for verification? We'd love to know. Share below!
