Founding Story

Before Noodle & Boo was a skincare brand, it was a personal mission.

After nine years of trying to start a family, founder Christine Burger experienced the greatest joy of her life with the birth of her first son, Andrew. In those early days at home, as she rocked him to sleep, she found herself thinking about children born into circumstances where no one had the means, ability, or support to advocate for them.

That moment led Christine to write a personal mission statement that would later shape the foundation of the company:

“To bridge the gap for children who don’t have parents who can fight for them.”

Years later, after leaving her career as a software executive and becoming a mother of two, Christine became deeply focused on skincare for sensitive children. Her son Andrew suffered from severe eczema, and Matthew had highly reactive skin. At the time, baby skincare products often fell into two categories: clinical products that could feel harsh, or natural products that lacked meaningful efficacy.

Christine saw an opportunity to create a new category in baby skincare: best-in-class products for sensitive and eczema-prone skin that combined science-backed ingredients with natural actives. Her vision was to create products with the efficacy and trust of advanced skincare while remaining exceptionally gentle and safe for babies and children.

After two years of development and testing, Noodle & Boo was born. The company was named after her sons’ nicknames: Andrew was “Noodle” and Matthew was “Boo.”

From the beginning, Noodle & Boo was built around both product excellence and purpose. For more than 20 years, the company has supported nonprofit organizations focused on children’s initiatives. That long-standing commitment eventually led to the creation of The Grace Foundation, dedicated to supporting children in foster care.

Today, Noodle & Boo remains a founder-led brand built at the intersection of science, sensitivity, and social impact, with a mission rooted in caring for vulnerable children and creating exceptional products for families.
