Founding Story

Alison and Sabrina were in different hormonal phases, yet they found themselves describing the same pattern: low energy, unexplained off days, and questions that went beyond what a quick search could answer. When they looked for guidance, they often encountered what felt like a narrow set of options, either a pill or hormone therapy, leaving little room for nuance or stage-specific support.

Like many women, they turned to late-night reading and endless online research, cycling through the next “best” product and adding one more step to the routine in the hope that consistency would finally deliver results. Over time, and through conversations with other women, the broader problem came into focus: women are still routinely given generic solutions, even as hormones, and needs,shift across different life stages. The founders point to another factor that makes the gap harder to close: women’s health remains significantly under-studied.

Libré was built in response, developed with Dr. Nor, a French physician known for an evidence-first approach. He spent years immersed in the research on women’s hormonal health and worked alongside specialists, including an OB-GYN, nutritionists, and an immunologist, to scrutinize each ingredient and dosage.

From the outset, Libré set out to meet strict EU health and compliance standards rather than aiming for the minimum required to reach the market. The brand also cites access to Johns Hopkins University research data as an added layer of scientific context in its decision-making. With U.S. healthcare increasingly out of reach for many, Libré positions itself as a more accessible support system, offering customers a direct way to contact its Chief Medical Officer with health-related questions. The company says it will continue refining formulas as new research emerges and plans to invest in future studies and trials, pushing for better data, better options, and better outcomes for women.
