Founding Story

We’ve spent our entire lives in the footwear world. From the sales to marketing, from design sketches to customer feedback, shoes have always been more than just products to us — they’ve been our career, our craft, and our passion.

By the time we both turned 50, we’d seen just about everything the industry had to offer. We’d worked for big brands, weathered the ups and downs of global supply chains, and helped bring countless collections to market. But as much as we valued those experiences, we also felt a pull — the sense that there was still room for something new, something better, something that reflected our vision.

That’s how Amento was born. Two guys who grew up in footwear, still in love with the process, but ready to forge our own path. We didn’t want to chase trends or copy what others were doing. We wanted to build a brand that blends timeless know-how with fresh thinking: footwear designed for real life, crafted with care, and made for adventure.

Amento isn’t just a brand — it’s the next chapter of our lifelong journey in shoes. For us, it’s proof that even after decades in the industry, there’s always another step to take.
